Secrets of Aurora - Those with HSV (herpes), make sure to have a lot...

ABOUT

My alias is Aurora. I am a 25 year old mom living with HSV2 and HPV-Cervical Cancer. This blog is for education and awareness. Ask me anything, but please be respectful. If you have HSV/HPV, talk to me anytime, anonymous or not. I can help you through this, and also help you find so many more living with this. Questions do not go unanswered, and if you want to talk off of anon, if it's personal please mark it *personal* so your identity does not go out to my followers. Stay positive while being positive guys, it's not the end of the world! And if you are having so much trouble that you feel suicide is the only answer, please PLEASE do yourself a favor and call one of the hotlines. For the US, the hotline number is 1-800-273-8255. Remember, you will be ok. You will get through this, and you will come out stronger because of it!! Always remember the silver lining in everything :)

According to the CDC, 1 in every 6 sexually active people ages 12 and up, has HSV2. That's a lot of people! And studies show that about 80% of those with it, don't even know! Get tested people!!

Disclaimer

Before you ask any medical questions, please keep in mind that I am not a doctor. While I can give advice and education on HSV and HPV, I cannot give 100% medical knowledge on things. What I do here is research a lot. I gather information and keep it available to you. If you have a question that is beyond my meanings of answering, please get with your doctor or find a local clinic. Visit Planned Parenthood (link is in my other links file) to get help. And if you need insurance, they can help with getting you state insurance if you qualify. If not, there is always Blue Cross Blue Shield. They provide pretty affordable care. Go to their website and type your zipcode in to find out more. Please, don't play around with your health. Your body is a valuable thing, protect it and treat it well.

Those with HSV (herpes), make sure to have a lot of Alkaline intake, it helps to ward of outbreaks!! The more Acidic foods you intake, the easier an outbreak can be triggered. This is a great example of good food vs bad food
